The 56 type 7.62 mm automatic rifle is a imitation of the former Soviet Union AK-47 type 7.62 mm automatic rifle. lt was produced and finalized in 1956, modified 56-1 in 1963,56-2 in 1980 and ABZ56C in 1991. It is the largest automatic rifle produced and equipped in China. and is stillequipped in the army.

The gun adopts pneumatic automatic principle, rotary rigid lockingof gun machine and rotary firing mechanism of hammer. By changingthe position of fast and slow machine, single shot, continuous shotand safe state can be realized respectively.
