WMZ551B wheeled armored transport vehicle

WMZ551B armored conveyor is an amphibious armored vehicle equipped with propeller and water propeller with guide hood. It can float in the water with a speed of 8.5 km/h. The maximum speed on land is 100 km/h, the maximum distance is 800 km, the width of trench is 1.2 m, the vertical obstacle is 0.55 m, and the maximum climbing slope is 30 degrees. Due to the use of double wishbone independent suspension system and differential lock between axles and wheels, it has high tactical maneuverability. In order to meet the requirements of foreign trade countries, WMZ551B adopts the four-stroke air-cooled diesel engine of Dowitz BF8L413FC produced by advanced European technology. As a turbocharged air-cooled diesel engine, it is particularly suitable for driving in desert and plateau areas. The steering performance not only has a great influence on the average vehicle speed, but also is closely related to the vehicle evading the hit of anti-tank weapons. On the basis of the basic vehicle, WMZ551B adopts hydraulic power steering device. Land steering and water steering are operated by steering wheel, which makes the steering operation easy and easy. The turning radius is not more than 9 meters, and improves the flexibility of vehicle rotation and roadway combat ability. The all-pneumatic braking system adopted by WMZ551B is conducive to the safety of armored vehicles and the reliability of braking. There are three independent braking devices in the braking system. The foot brake is pneumatic braking, which acts on the front, middle and rear wheel diaphragm braking chambers respectively. This improves the braking performance of the vehicle. Hand brake is a pressure-lowering control type, which acts on the middle wheel and rear wheel brake spring chamber, so as to ensure that the vehicle parks on the slope and avoid the vehicle sliding when parking on the slope. Another major improvement is that WMZ551B has added a central tire charging and deflating system. The system enables the driver to operate the control panel in the cab without getting off the car. The tire is filled or deflated individually or totally and the pressure is measured, thus adjusting the tire contact area and improving the vehicle's ability to pass through desert or mud.
